While contemplating this teddy bear card, I looked out my window at my bird feeding area and much to my surprise I saw a bright teal blue spot scurrying around on the ground.
It's an indigo bunting. I notice that in the top picture there is a red butt (chipmunk) chowing down in the green platform ground feeder.
Here's a couple of close ups of the indigo bunting.
Isn't he beautiful! So bright and cheery against the drab ground. I thought this was a good sign since his colors are similar to the color scheme in my teddy bear card.

Card Front
I created the card base from dark grey cardstock and set it aside. For the front panel I texturized light teal cardstock by running it through my Cuttlebug machine with a Fiskars swiss dot texture plate. I cut out a half round of dark teal patterned paper and matted it with light teal and dark grey cardstocks. The paper I selected has a circular wrought iron pattern on it to carry through my circle theme for the card. I affixed this layered half round to the textured cardstock front panel.
In keeping with my circle theme I stamped the teddy bear in black ink on a round of white cardstock and colored him using gamsol and Prismacolor pencils. To add depth to the image I sponged several inks around Teddy. As a finishing touch I used a black gel pen to define Teddy's eyes, nose, and mouth and topped them off with a white highlight. I matted the image on light teal and dark grey cardstocks and affixed it to the textured front panel.
Here's a close up of Teddy.
Angle Views of Card Front to Show Dimension
Note that the only true dimensional elements on the card's front are the buttons and the textured light teal cardstock. I accomplished perceived dimension through the sponging around Teddy.
For the inside panel I printed "I Love You Bear-y Much" in dark grey ink on light teal cardstock. I thought this sentiment could be used for a wide range of occasions. To adorn the inside panel I matted a band of the textured light teal cardstock with dark grey cardstock and topped it off with a medallion of the wrought iron patterned paper. I affixed the completed panel to the inside of the card base.
I constructed a coordinating envelope from heavy cover stock and printed Teddy's sweet face in the lower left hand corner. I sprayed the image with sealer to protect it as it travels through the mail system.
Final Card and Envelope Ensemble
I'm still not done using this teddy bear stamp. More cards to come.
