Sister and Friendship Cards Take 2 and Siblings Come to Visit

I'm still on a sister kick so I handcrafted another sister card and friendship card.  I used the same sketch as my previous sister and friendship cards, but selected a different color scheme and different messages for the inside of the cards.  For these two cards I used apple green and peach as my primary colors because it is one of my favorite color combinations and reminds me of my sister.  Since both my sister card and friendship card are embellished with punch art flowers they meet the criteria for the Creative Card Crew Challenge which is to incorporate handmade flowers into your project.

Speaking of sisters, I had a couple of siblings visit my garden this past week and I was able to get some pictures of them.

I see these little guys several times a week playing in the yard and wandering through the garden.  Momma is never far away.  On this day she was munching along the tree line while keeping an eye on her little ones.

As you can see from the pictures above the cards are pretty much identical with the exception of the images I used and the sentiments of "sister" versus "friends".  For complete details on how I made these cards check out my previous blog post Sister and Friendship Cards. The only differences are the paper and color scheme used.

You can see the dimensional element of the punch art flower pretty well in the above pictures.  The punched word "sister" is also popped from the surface of the card although it is not showing up that well in the photos.  Below is a closer look at the flower blossom.

This picture does also show the punched letters of "sister" a little better and you can see that they are raised slightly from the card surface.

Here are identical views for my friendship card so that you can see its dimensional elements as well.

Inside Sister Card and Friendship Card

For my sister card I selected the inside message to read "A better Sister I could never find!"  The embellishment for the inside of the card is just the matted strip of floral paper.

My friendship card is similar in construction with a change in the message to read "Thoughts of you always bring a smile to my face!"

I also constructed an envelope from heavy cover stock for each of the cards to compliment them.  I used a strip of the floral paper down the left side of each envelope as an embellishment.
